Technically….the transponder is the only required test
needs to be adhering to for a sailplane. Since a sailplane conducting IFR /IMC flight is never level…furthermore, FAR 91 pitot static checks only apply to airplanes & helicopters operating in controlled airspace…. However, I recommend complying with the pilot static check as well….. Shawn |
