Well, she be in good company with Jimih the peanut man and Yessir
Arafats. I bet we could nominate Kim Jong Il fer one too.

And I coluld announce that I am being conidered for thr poistion of
Emperor of the United Staes and Protector of Mexico and will assume the
regnal name of Noron II when I ascend the Imperial Throne.

It would mean as much.

To the best of ny knowledge, the Nobel committees don't inforrm anybody
who they are considering nor say who was rejected once the award is made

I suppose Ms. Sheehan could have tried to nominate herself for the Peace
Prize. However self nominations are automatically disqualified.

The names of those nominated for a Nobel Prize are never publicly
announced and they are never meant to learn that they were considered
for the Prize. Nomination records are sealed for fifty years. So by
anyone could check the records of this years nominations Ms. Sheehan
will have become a long forgotten footnote in history.

Alas for Cindy, Jimmy, and Dear Leader, the Nobel went to a (gasp)
businessman!

A really astonishing coincidence: on Friday, the Nobels announced the
winner, and on Saturday the Wall Street Journal had an op-ed by the
businessman / economist / philanthropist / laureate, suggesting that
what worked for him in Bangladesh would also work in New Orleans. Did
the WSJ have the fix in?
