Army Officer's Guide No, but I've retained a taste for it, and just content myself with a supply from my local supermarket! Regards PJM |

Laphroaig, Lagavulin, Oban, Bruichladdich - take your pick, but keep the &*$%@ water away! Charlie |

Charlie It's a very personal thing (I have two friends who can't abide Islay whisky) but I have to admit that I find a little water brings out the true flavour and cuts the fieriness a bit! I prefer it on the rocks. No twist if you please.
The Islays are just flat out the best - of course, that's just my opinion. But for the smokiest and peatiest of all - Laphroaig - people either love it or hate it. There's almost nobody in between. My former boss was from Scotland. He called Laphroaig "chimney scrapings". Like it was a bad thing. Charlie |
