Is anyone manufacturing new open cockpit aircraft? I'm aware of the Waco Classic Aircraft Corporation, which makes new WACOs, but that's it. Is the WACO the only new built open cockpit aircraft around? Well, you could always build one of these: http://tinyurl.com/2tt5pc Plans-built 1932 Curtiss P6E Hawk replica fighter. 82% scale. -- Jay Honeck Iowa City, IA Pathfinder N56993 www.AlexisParkInn.com "Your Aviation Destination" |

Well, if the orginal poster wanted to build, there are a power lot of options: Flybaby, peitenpol, baby ace, starduster, breezy, locomp, spacewalker, tuholer. I'm looking for manufacturers who build planes for sale, and these planes have an open cockpit. I'm not asking about the homebuilt industry. |

I doubt Classic would consider it . . . but imagine a scaled LSA version of the YMF-5, perhaps behind the Rotax radial. That would be cool. |
