This is my favorite 707 photo, of course, it's not a 707, it's the prototype
Dash 80, upside down over the hydroplane race course on Lake Washington,
west Seattle in the distance. My father-in-law was there, and talks about it
to this day.

This looks just like the famous picture of the Boeing test pilot showing
off the bird in front of the military and investors way back in 195?? His
name was "Tex" something. After he did the aileron roll (which was a simple
1 g manuever), he was told never to do that again as it might upset future
paying passengers. The navigator in back snapped this picture. It's true,
....Look it up

Tex Johnston, not Johnson.

A video of this roll, narrated by Tex Johnston, can be downloaded from
http://www.alexisparkinn.com/photoga...707%20Roll.mpg

Note: This file is almost 22 MB in size.

You can also find copies of this video on YouTube.com. Search for
"Tex Johnston".
