The resolution isn't quite good enough for full screen on a 22" wide screen monitor unless you sit well back, but it is impressive. The music goes well with it too. Roger (K8RI) |

The French were very early into the aviation game and were responsible
for numerous improvements in aircraft... French aviators have been skilled and daring from the onset... In spite of the dismal track record of the politicians controlling the French military their air force has always been formidable... It is interesting to consider the History of France compared to their modern day war record under their current political system... What is now France was given by the Romans to the Goths as payment for their services to Rome... The only thing the Goths had to do was occupy it... Being they were that days equivalent of the hordes of Genghis Khan it was considered a done deal... No one had discussed this with the wild tribes then occupying the area, however... The Goths marched in beating their chests, brandishing their swords and handing out orders - and got for their troubles a thrown battle axe in the middle of the chest - or back of the head... The deal was the Goth warrior would run towards a Franceti bearing tribesman, waving his sword... When he got about 8 feet away (still out of sword range) he would get a razor sharp battle axe hurled into his chest or face, followed instantly by an enraged tribesman swinging the razor sharp battle axe still in his other hand... They were routed and went back to eventually occupy Rome under Aleric.. The wild tribes consolidated and held their lands which is now the modern day France... The throwing battle axe of the Franceti has come down to us as the Tomahawk of the American Indian... denny / k8do |

What has always puzzled me is whatever became of the Roman spirit "vini, vidi, vinci"? After the Aleric etc. era, the Moors took over, then left, then Spain, France and Austria (and the Pope) ruled various pieces of Italy up until about 1860, when the Italians finally said "enough already". Then followed the modern Italy we know about today. Nice fashions, cars and movies seem to be the main result... and nice Canard aircraft... Angelo Campanella |

Italians are lovers, not fighters! WWII should be proof enough of that. Why do you think that Italy was the "soft underbelly of Europe". |
