He was able to start the engines and roll for a while along the ground, but
couldn't steer and ended up in a soybean field, after doing $160,000 of damage to the twin-engine aircraft: http://www.theindychannel.com/news/1...s=ind&psp=news |

Mxsmanic stated later to reporters that he "just needs a little more practice in the twin on his flight simulator software before attempting another aircraft theft." Apparently, he is spending too much time reading, posting and replying to a usenet group of (mostly) real pilots. Darrell |

Maybe you can simulate it on your MSFS or the lates copy of Grand Theft Airplane. Bertie |

How does someone like that (drunk idiot non-pilot) figger out how to start the engines? A non-pilot probably wouldn't know about the POH. The real shame of it is that the twin now has damage history (assuming it didn't before, of course) affecting its value just because Darwin hadn't yet caught up to that fuggin moron.. |

He most likely learned how to start the engines from a sim game. Now
if his sim had pedals, he might also have learned how to steer it. He may have a thousand hours of sim time, after all, and that would make him an expert, right?
