There's a reference to the sud ouest so90 being flown for the first time
(during the WW2) to algiers, apparently against the orders of the occupying germans. That came from the "janes encyclopedia of avaition" Anyone know the story on the flight. There is also a reference to the dornier do24 being built by the spanish and used after the war, up to the 60's. Are there any still in use?. How bout the fact that the dutch used a license built version in the dutch east indies. Any of them pressed into service by the Japanese? Finally, what is the airliner seen in the movie "roman Holiday"- where the agents stroll off the plane? Way too much time on my hands today- Pat |
