Bombs loaded on five 7-store carriers. For normal release the bombs
would be sequenced to maintain aircraft C of G. For this picture the
bombs were released on Emergency Jettison so all the bombs fell from
each carrier in turn. The bomb release system was variously known as
the "90 way" or more correctly the "89 Way" or the "11/12 way".

89 because the switch selector had a "tens" selector from 0 to 8 and
the "units" selector from 0 to 9, thus the maximum number of stores
that could be selected was 89.

11/12 because the system used a type 11 bomb distributor for normal
release and a type 12 bomb distributor for normal jettison.
