Soon to be gliding at Mayville NY '63 Piper towing a '63 Schleicher K 6 CR Camphill uses a ground winch to get the craft aloft and this gives quite a high rate of climb so it is quite impressive. I have never been lucky enough to see an aircraft towed start to a flight. It must make life a bit easier by getting a lot higher prior to release. -- Andrew B (Cheshire, England) "Heavier-than-air flying machines are impossible."
