Importing a Glider from Neatherlands to So Cal
I'm interested in learning more importing a used glider (15 meter
span) from the Neatherlands to Southern California. Anybody have any experience at this? Any advice would be useful. Rough estimate of cost? How long? Thank you in advance, Dan Rihn

Rough estimate of cost? How long? Thank you in advance, Dan Rihn I paid shipping $2100 from Germany RORO to RI, customs broker plus other fees related to cleariance $500-$600 or so. DAR + annual $600. Make sure the trailer has appropriate papers or you will be sorry you bought the glider (there is another way if the trailer does not have papers, but it is more pain and it requires a flat bed to get the trailer out of customs, then you register the trailer as homebuilt)
