I was making some soup and dumplins and just like rotorcraft flying I
got P.I.O. problem. You have to cook them with the lid on so the steam will bake the dumplins. However trying to find just the right setting on the old electric stove is not always easy. Turn the dial up to much and it begins to boil over and turn it down too much and it stops cooking. There's a delayed reaction when you turn the dial, just like when you move the stick forward on a gyro, then you can get into real trouble and cause P.I.O. That's Pot Induced Oscillation, not Pilot induced Oscillation, (unless you're using a gas stove) ;-) sorry I just couldn't resist. |
