The asking price is $3500.00 CDN each. http://www.igs.net/~jcb/misc/augusta/augusta01.html -- regards from :: John Bartley 43 Norway Spruce Street Stittsville, Ontario Canada, K2S1P5 ( If you slow down it takes longer - does that apply to life also?) -----= Posted via Newsfeeds.Com, Uncensored Usenet News =----- http://www.newsfeeds.com - The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! -----== Over 100,000 Newsgroups - 19 Different Servers! =----- |

Hi there, Because I know nothing about these, I will copy here the answer I sent to another interested person ::: Thank you for the reply. I'm going to be a bit embarrassed here I think. The only answers I can give are; 1) Two strong guys can just lift one engine and crate assembly (125-150lbs?) I would guess the crate at 35-50lbs. 2) I was told that they were originally helicopter engines, but were purchased by the Canadian Government new, to be used as test engines. What the testing was, how many hours they have etc, all those interesting questions, I don't know the answers to. They are sequentially serial numbered, and in their original crates. 3) I've advertised them a couple of times over the last year, and while I've rec'd a couple of replies similar to yours, I've yet to find anyone who knows about them, or knows where or indeed if, parts are available. They were purchased quite a few years ago at a "Crown Assets" (Gov't of Canada) auction by the person I am selling them for. cheers ps : from about 6:00am to about 9:00pm, my home server is up and running. These pics may be seen in high resolution at http://216.58.89.253:83/Photos01/For...tors/FirstOne/ This is a home dsl line, so the speed will only be about 20kbps max, but you're welcome to look. John
Search on Google for "Meccanica Verghera" (Italian Company) and drill down for "Augusta". Should find some data on your engines.
