Well if more F-35s get built than F-22s, and or the budget for them is
cheaper, down the road it stands to reason that Air National Guard units will get F-35s, though F-16s and F-15s will likely be in service stateside for many years to come. If you just want speed for the ANG, one can always bring back the F-106. Or replace F-16s with F-15s as F-15s rotate out of Air Force units. Though the F-16 is pretty sweet and will be around for some time. |
