I was more of a Fireball XL-5 fan (I wonder how much my working plastic model Fireball XL-5 would be worth now, if I still had it?), but I've been unable to get the Supercar opening out of my head for the last 20 minutes or so. There was some protoype USAF delta-wing jet in the early 50s that landed on waterskid and then acted as a submarine down to 15 meters of water. See: Convair XF2Y Sea Dart |
