Spartan C-71, USAAF s/n "42-38266 was N17657 c/n 7W-26. Originally
sold to Des Moines Iowa Register and Tribune, impressed Mar 16, 1942. Returned in 1945. Restored to NC17657 Jan 31, 1945, to N46481 Jul 18, 1950, to YV-T-VTC Jun 26, 1964, to N5053 Apr 1969.
