lubrication for extreem cold?
I'm refurbishing a 2-32 and I'm planning to fly this big bird in our wave
and was wondering what type of grease would not get stiff when it gets very cold? |

Hi Gary,
Try Aerospace Lubricants. Inc. in Columbus, OH. The best grease I think, and this is something we use in our equipment that we sell to the U.S. Armed Forces, is Tribolube. It is extreme pressure, wide temperature range rated grease. -80 deg. F up to 400 deg. F....that should do the trick. JK, |

Kluber Isoflex Topas L32 is good from -60 C to 120 C. If you just need
a few ounces, I can get you some. Mike |

Google Synco Super Lube. It's also sold under the Permatex brand name and at Radio Shack as their "Super Lube Gel" It's clear and super slippery. Specs a -45°F to 450°F (-43°C to 232°C) continuous -50°F to +500°F (-45°C to 260°C) intermittent bumper |

Back when I worked at Sky Sailing, we set up the wave camp gliders by lubing everything with regular old white lithium grease. Thanks, Bob K. http://www.hpaircraft.com |

Yep, it's a synthetic lube that I now use for everything -- wingpins,
dragpins, etc. Best lube that I have found. Larry "01" USA "bumper" wrote in message : "Gary Boggs" wrote in message ... I second that recommendation. It's also widely available, so that's a
plus in the convenience column. Also, it comes in a liquid base as well, which is useful for those applications where required. P3 |
