It's been a long time since I was on the receiving end of line service -
good, bad or indifferent. But I know when when I get it good - and I got it today. With a C150! I delivered a plane to a new home base - and was neatly directed onto a tie down, where it was then tied off near the terminal lounge. When the line person asked how long the plane would be there,(1 month plus) she suggested I talk to the line boss about a better location. He decided I could go in a sheltered site, and drove me over to look at it, while the mule pulled my aircraft over, then he shuttled me and my bags to my car. The prices were so stunningly different than fuel and tie-down at McKinney where I departed, [no surprise in that!] that I was undoubtedly biassed in favor on that basis alone, but there's an undefinable aura to superb line service, hard to put your finger on it. Dan and his team were all over it, today. Bravo! Brian W |
