So I am in the midst of building a master bedroom into my basement. Of
course the two year-old helps as much as he can. The other day I hear him say, I got it Daddy. Turn to look to see him dragging an 8 foot 2x4 to me. What a great kid. Tonight I was working on minor things in the room while the kid is running around having a good time. Then I hear, look Daddy I made an airplane. As I turned around, sure nuff, only thing missing was the vertical stabilizer. He had used 1x1.5 furring strips. Had a long one for the body. Second long one for the main wing about an inch or two behind the end of the board. Finally the horizontal stabilizer at the other end. He had used his little plastic hammer to bang in some ring nails. I could not believe it. Here he is not even an EAA member and has beaten me to the home built. Maybe I should get him a membership.
