Pete Williams memorial plaque at MEV
Pete Williams was a great contributor to soaring. He authored "Self-
Launch! - Retractable Engine Sailplanes" and, along with Kempton Izuno and Bill Seed, brought Tonopah to our attention as a great cross country site. The ASA (Auxiliary-powered Sailplane Association) is collecting funds for a memorial plaque at Minden (Pete's home base) and those wanting to contribute should send checks to Brian Utley 9541 Virginia Avenue S Bloomington, MN 55438 Checks should be payable to ASA and include a note that they are for the Pete Williams memorial plaque. Thanks for considering this. I'm sure that many of us who were privileged to know Pete and learn from him will be glad to support this effort. Martin Hellman
