I'm working on restoring a Schuemann netto box and I'm in need of a
couple feet of 0.010" ID plastic tubing to make a calibrated leak to match the netto to my sailplane polar. There are products available, but generally sold in quantities much larger than I need, and not inexpensive (sold mostly for bio-medical applications). The inside diameter is fairly important, as the flow resistance at constant length goes as the 4th power of ID. The desirable range is about 0.008 - 0.012". It's likely possible to use metal capillary tubing for this, which is easier to find in small qty, but plastic would be much easier to work with. Anyone have a source? Evan Ludeman / T8 |
