I'm writing an article about the North Korean shoot down of a Navy EC-121M
surveillance aircraft in 1969. The plane was from VQ-1. Thirty men died. I have several pictures of Navy EC-121Ms, but not the actual aircraft and not from 1969. In the mid-sixties they had a much darker paint scheme, mostly dark blue. By the early 1970s they had a gull grey scheme. Does anybody know when they switched? I want to illustrate the article, but I want a plane that looks like the one that was shot down in 1969. D |
