Cleaning up brushes/dope?

Folks -

I applied some aluminium-pigmented dope to some fabric.
Tried cleaning up with Mineral Spirits. Not satisfactory.
Cleaned up with butyrate thinner.
Don't wanna use MEK (sorta scared of it)
Anything else make a go cleaner-upper? Looking for something more
available than the butyrate thinner. - Mike
