Good day all,
I have a 67 C-182. Since I purchased the plane this summer the pilots seat seemed to recline to far back. After some investigation it appeared as though someone had replaced the Pawls that lock the seat in position with the incorrect ones. The ones installed were from a 172 so I ordered ones for a 182 and thought my problems would go away. Once the 182 ones were installed the problem became worse. Some further investigation led me to find out that the seat back on the right and left seat have different hardware for catching the pawl. I switched the seat backs and now I can fly but the seat still doesn't seem right. I am thinking I'd like to purchase a good used seat or two and see if I can make these seats work properly. Does any one have any insight into this and also where would I go in Canada to find used Cessna interior parts? Thanks in advance, Rob T. C-FCHK CYFD |
