I am buying an aircraft that has had its canopy partly painted over as a sun
shield. Does any one know of a good method of removing the paint from the acrylic canopy without causing damage to the perspex? thanks in advance Jim |

Chemicals will probably damage the plexi. You can try alcohol, but
what I needed to do was to lightly sand the paint off then repolish the plexi, staring with 600 paper up to 2000 paper then polishing compound on a machine. Good luck. Try Naptha, I remove overspray with it from blown bubbles
and never had a problem. "Jon A." wrote in message ... Chemicals will probably damage the plexi.
