New OLC "Club"

Southern California is currently fractured into several different OLC clubs.. There is a movment by pilots in Tehachapi, Inyokern, Cal City, and Crystal to consolidate all OLC flights in the region into one club. The names "Southern Sierra", "Region 12 Soaring", and "SoCal Soaring" havbe been proposed.

If the current OLC, dominantly airport-based clubs of Tehachapi Soaring, Sierra Soaring, Cal City Soaring, Crystal Squadron, Hole-in-the-Wall and others flying in this region were combined, it would truly reflect the awesome potential of this part of the world and such a club would become a more representative and powerful contender on the OLC. Calculations suggest such a club would be 3rd or 4th in the USA.

I am polling pilots in this region as to whether they would support such a move for next year and in the future. Suggestions and preferences for an OLC CLub Name are also invited.
