Default 182 POH

I need to purchase an "official" Cessna POH for our 1975 182. I know
I can get these from various suppliers but I'm wondering if anyone
sells them at a discount? I purchased my last one at what I
considered a reasonable price years ago, but looking around online now
I'm not having much luck.

Thanks for the help!

Dave,
I bought a new 182P POH from PilotPortal for 29.95+shipping. Here is the
hyperlink for the Cessna manuals:

Hi Dave

When I needed a POH for my 172 I looked at a couple of companies which
claimed to sell them. Then I spoke to the company that maintains my
aircraft, and they told me that they didn't sell them because Cessna
will not give anyone, including resellers, a discount - therefore the
product being offered elsewhere was either not a genuine POH, or it was
more expensive than purchasing it from Cessna. As they would not sell me
one I considered that to be unbiased advice so I contacted the Cessna
website which directed me to my nearest Canadian Cessna dealer. A call
to them and they gave me a price that was better than the others that I
had seen. They asked me what had happened to my old one and I told them
that it had been stolen. Because of that I could not legally fly until I
had a POH on board so the expedited it. They paid air freight to Canada,
they used their customs broker, and when they received it they sent it
courier to me. I had it in 48 hours and only paid for the POH (Cheap -
somewhere around $35.00).
I was not charged for the airfreight, customs clearance or courier.

Worth considering?

I have purchased a POH for 182F and 182P models as well as Warrior and Archers
online at e-Bay. If you are not in a hurry to have the POH right away this is
a great way to go. I got them for less than $15 each.

Dave,

Are you sure there is even a POH for the 1975 Model 182? My
recollection is that Cessna only published Owner's Manuals at that
time and that the limitations were via the placards and weight and
balance paperwork. I suspect that all you'll find is an Owner's
Manual.

All the best,
Rick

The '77 182 had a full POH. I'm pretty sure the '75 did too.
