Bendix King AV8OR and LX Nav Nano

Hello all. I use an AV8OR for both powered flights as well as soaring by switching back and forth between the stock software and XC-Soar. I recently aquired an LX Nav Nano for badge flights and records for our club members. I'm able to pair the two via Bluetooth but I'm not having any luck trying to get GPS information externally from the Nano to the AV8OR. I'd really like to be able to make declarations via the AV8OR so I don't have to run Nano Config on my laptop.

Has anyone been able to get these two devices working together properly? The AV8OR's internal GPS is on serial COM 2. I've tried using all the other serial and virtual ports using the LX/Colibri, with and without K6BT settings but can't find the Nano data in the monitor when selected.

I've seen Paul Remde's serial cable solution but would like to rule out a Bluetooth connection before adding cords to the mix. I want to keep this setup as clutter free as possible since it will move from glider to glider. I'm willing to use just about any of the different Soaring software options, if they can make this work.
