Default Sunlight viewable display machinations

Qualcomm's Mirasol products and supposedly project
were discontinued in July, rumored difficulties
with production (yield cost etc ?). Fletcher imported
a Mirasol PDA from Korea and it looked good running
XCsoar (well, the replacement for the first unit that
died looked good).

Yet this morning:

Qualcomm wouldn't be doing this unless they have
some of their own technology at stake, right ?
Can't just be slightly better LCDs.
Anybody know the scoop ?

See ya, Dave
