Great to see some new solid marketing efforts for the sport of soaring and sailplane racing popping up, albeit in Europe. http://youtu.be/dwMFXd2wNx0

Really Bill? I was not aware the US was trying to do the same thing as this? Where is the website? Facebook page? Kickstarter project? Marketing? I look forward to catching up! Thanks in advance. I would love to see more promotion of the sport. Funny how, for example, the SSA does not have so much as a YouTube channel. Amazing really.

This sounds like an excellent opportunity for you to get involved and make a valuable contribution. Talk to Bill and see how you might bring the benefit of your expertise to this. UH |

While YouTube is an interesting free web video service, there are aspects of it which worry me. I'd like more control over our message so the viewer isn't diverted from a high production value promotional video to a cat video, or even worse, "watch glider crash". This could be possible and I'm just ignorant of it. It seems to me as if YouTube is constantly trying to re-direct the viewers attention to videos of their choosing. This is particularly evident if you click on the "watch on YouTube" icon to get the video in HD. To get total control, it seems like we'd need our own video-capable server farm which isn't likely. |
