Would anyone have a Peschges VP3 wiring harness and display in the depths of their garage or old instrument store? I have the main unit from way back and I thought it would be interesting to see if it still works. I might even pay some money for parts in good condition! Thanks in advance,

Thanks in advance, The VP-3 is quite archaic by todays standards and not worth spending any money fixing. The main unit makes a good boat anchor! I do have the owners guide if you want it. JJ Hello John, I am not sure about the usefulness of a VP3 as a boat anchor, a bit light I think. I suspect it probably would more fulfill its destiny as a door stop.... It is just that it is there on my shelf and I look at it and remember the complexities and problems of setting it up. I just wonder if it still works and might be better as a complete door stop rather than just the main unit. I would be interested in the manual if you would like it to go to a good home. Do you have a price in mind, or perhaps you might have some sympathy with JJ's point of view? Thanks! MG |

I have a VP-4E Nav which still works well. The only drawbacks are 1: the somewhat unpleasant timbre of the audio and 2: the fact that it's not GPS linked. It'll get replaced when I put a PowerFLARM core unit onboard as I will want a computer that uses the FLARM as a GPS source and logger. 7007 Basic or 8080 Simple are the main contenders for me.

Archaic, maybe so, but it still helped me finish my Diamond Badge 20-some
