Hey Guys,

My glider and trailer are in my front yard ready to head out to Jean but I'm
concerned about the weather. We had rain in the mountains east of
Albuquerque last night and snow in the high country.

How's the lake bed doing? There's nothing on your website.

Dan, 5J

Dan, Lake Bed is bone dry. Today winds are out of the west
northwest. Had some wave develop last night with the winds.
That is expected to drop off as another high moves in. Friday
is when they will make the go-no-go decision. But its looking
good so far. Doug

Looks hopeful so far. We'll have to be on the road Friday morning and must
cancel our reservation at the Jean cassino NLT Thursday afternoon if we're
not coming. Any chance of an update tomorrow?

Dan, the lakebed is good. The Friday wind forecast is for 10G18 as the high pressure starts to move in.
Weekend forecast has the high pressure sitting over us which should give us a light breeze for the lakebed.
I'll try to send you a direct email Thurs, but it may be late afternoon if we get to go back to work.

Dan the Wx hasnt changed. It is supposed to be awesome
this weekend. Warm around mid 80's and very light winds.
Night time temps around upper 50's. See you Saturday! D

Thanks Doug,

Patti's loading the cooler as I type and I'll hitch up and we'll be on the
road shortly.

Another great weekend on the dry lake. At last night's party, 100 paper hot
air balloons were launched into the night sky. What a sight!

This morning, the group went out and cleaned up the balloons...

Yesterday would have been a great day to truck tow at Roach Dry Lake.
There was a cloud street overhead with dust devils off the lakebed, and plenty of other streets close by.
Cloud base was 8 or 9,000' over the McCulloughs.
Camping might not have been as much fun.

Try to plan the next event around those conditions!
