Does anyone know if 'jumpseating' is still a employee fringe benefit with
FedEx, UPS, etc? Or did the FedEx 705 & 9-11 incidents ruin it all? -- Ben C-172 - N13258 @ 87Y |

Ordinary interns get to "jumpseat" on the flight deck, rather than just
grab a space-a spot in the cabin? Dave Troy Towner wrote: If your an Intern for most airlines you get these benefits... So i assume they are still active.. Troy "Ben Smith" wrote in message ... I don't know about Fed-Ex (they may have a special dispensation but I doubt it), but if you aren't a pilot, or a dispatcher assigned for training, for that airline, you ride in the back. Fed-Ex's smaller planes don't have seats in the back. Most passenger airlines extend a professional courtesy to freight pilots by allowing them to ride in the cabin even though they aren't allowed to return the favor. Hopefully, with the new TSA programs being tested, the cockpit will once again be opened to all of our brethren. D. |

My Aeroflot buddies get stuck in NY or DC for days sometimes, and I'd rather have them come down here to hangout in Miami. Just got a VIP pass for some business aviation show at Signature@MIA on the 15th, too bad I have to work, they promise everything from Embraer Legacy to that Piaggio Avanti curious thingie.
