Default FAA going to crap

I got a good friend who works for the FAA at a major airport.
He told me the experienced controllers and technicians are retiring and
leaving by the dozens and the only thing they are hiring are black
females and people who are basically unqualified and stupid. Now that's
scary. I never thought the FAA would be a victim of social engineering.
They are in the safety business!!

I have noticed flying around that more stuff on the ground is broke and
radios sound like crap

That's completely untrue.
Controllers are leaving by the dozens, but the FAA is not hiring ANYONE.

The FAA is bringing in only a couple hundred a year.

the really good controllers were let go in 1981..

those that replaced them have done an excellent job of putting up with the
FAA bureaucracy.. and now that they have their pension qualifications in
hand.. they too are leaving..

and the hire rate cannot cover the retire rate..

Well, garlee Colonel, at this rate pretty soon, you won't have no help left
for your cotton harvest! Get your big LeeRoy to bed 'em down pregnant, right
quick and keep 'em on the plantation.

I'm not a pilot (or in any area of aviation) but I've felt that
the FAA has been going down for some time, along with their leadership.
I'm sure you're aware of some of the friction that has existed between
the FAA and the NTSB over some safety issues. But the PC milksops here
will tell you that this is PROGRESS!

The FAA is in the GOVERNMENT business.

Your paranoia against minorities is not appreciated by those who know
better.

You're both wrong. The really good controllers continued working through
1981 and later, and either retired or are still working.
