Somebody has to have a good, used ASI sitting on their shelf that they would be willing to sell. 0-160Kts.

What size? I've got a 80mm 0-160 kt, with a 360 degree dial reading. I'm pretty sure it's a Winter 6513.

yes, 80mm. Don't you need one that has been 'calibrated' to your particular glider? Or else the White, Green, Yellow and Red bands will not be correct.. V Stall V rough air V never exceed. and V flaps, if you have them. (I suppose you could always get the small paint-brush out !) |

Winter instruments that have markings on the inner face are done with sticky back plastic tape that is easily removed and replaced. Wag Aero has the marking kit for just a few bucks. Did one yesterday. UH |

For a type certificated aircraft, glider or airplane, only a certificated instrument shop is allowed to open the instrument. Putting marking on the outside of the glass is OK but opening the instrument is not. Read the regualtions. Robert Mudd A&P I.A Composite Aircraft Repair Moriarty, Nm |

My point, incomplete, is that it is easily done by qualified person. UH |
