Please believe us...or you will die...GUARANTEED. Rick Stitt replaced
the cones on my aircraft. All he did was remove one of the four bearings and replaced it with an outer spacer, then drilled a hole in the spacer ONCE IT WAS INSTALLED to allow for oil fill. There is not even an inner spacer. This condition is a DOWNGRADE, not upgrade. My cones were filled with the shavings from the drilling! The shaft was GROUND to fit the outer bearing, and the shaft was chromed to create a closer tolerance. These cones had less than one hour in service. What was about to happen was a failure of the outer bearing, causing the spacer and inner bearings to fly off simply due to centrifugal loading. This was discovered by Joe Rinke Aerospace, and an FAA investigation is in process. This is not just gross negligence, but literally a criminal act. If you have had your cones touched by this fraud (Stitt Industries), you will shortly experience blue blades (one blew this way, the other blew that way). THIS IS NOT A BAD JOKE.... PLEASE DO NOT FLY!!!! Dennis Chitwood N500XT |
