There are small country airports that do allow RC clubs to exist. There are procedures within the AMA for such operations.
One is that there is a safety spotter beside the RC pilot and that the RC model aircraft lands when there is a full scale aircraft in the traffic pattern. A lot depends on the distance between RC operations and the full scale runway. It sounds like the airport Managment did not want to even try to work out a CONOPS. Bill

Bill Bill, All that was done years before the modelers were told to leave. In addition they had be there over 20 years. That is correct they did not even want to try. Richard
