The MS Flight Simulator 2004 will not start on my desktop computer.
Some seconds after the startup image shows up, it disappears and that is it. My desktop easily meets the system requirements. It uses a NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX400 card. The system runs under Windows XP Pro. I have read about possible problems with the NVIDIA GeForce card, but have not found a simple solution, other than buying a new graphics card. Does anyone know of a cheaper solution? |

I'd suggest posting your question at Flightsim.com. Lots of talent there. Ride Safe! Greasy Rider NAH#3 SENS http://rmhfaq.com [Al Sharpton has approved this message] |

I'd try this in order:
Run Ad-Aware and Spybot Run a full virus check If using Zone Alarm for your firewall make sure you are using the latest version. Search google on 'FS9 CTD' Make sure you have DirectX 9.0b - dxdiag from the cmd window Also there is a FAQ on AVSIM that talks a little bit about the CTD (Crash To Desktop) problem. If none of that works post back with more hardware specifics: -- ....Carl Frisk Anger is a brief madness. - Horace, 20 B.C. http://www.carlfrisk.com "Henk van der Heijden" wrote in message . nl...
