Is it possible to test the gear up alert on a L-NAV while on the ground?
The manual says it needs to think its going 25 KTS and may have a altitude setting as well. I would like to add a test in my pre flight. Dennis |

You might try (gently and carefully) pressurizing the pitot tube with a
large syringe, but that would be a big pain to do on every preflight. You could also test the system off tow or any other time in the flight by cracking the spoilers with the gear up. A better solution would be to develop a habit of verifying the gear handle is in the down and locked position before beginning your base turn. Relying on electronic warnings can result in repair bills. On 6/22/2016 7:05 AM, wrote: Is it possible to test the gear up alert on a L-NAV while on the ground?
