Hello All,
A friend and I are thinking of a soaring vacation in Utah around the third week of June. I have a self launcher but he needs tows. I've flown at Parowan, Nephi, and Logan. Can anyone tell us where there are full time tows available in Utah in June? Of course, we'll need accommodations and my wife is an avid hiker when she's not flying. -- Dan, 5J |

There are generally tows available at Cedar Valley, Morgan County (42U), and Logan. You may need to make prior arrangements on weekdays, but it can generally be done. All three sites are within easy distance (less than one hour) of hotels and hiking. Morgan and Logan both have great hiking within 15 minutes or so.

As Lynn states BUT be aware that the Nephi OLC event is scheduled for 6/25 to 7/2 and many of the northern UT tow planes will be there. Regarding Parowan you need to reach out to John Templeton. No word on hat Ely will be up to next year. Ron Gleason |

We filled up quickly for this year, so plan early and register at the earliest possible date (https://sites.google.com/site/motorg...ons-and-camps). Our tow pilot, John Templeton, also tows at other dates, so you can probably get tows after the camp is over. Tom |

Heber Airport 36U, has some of the most scenic flying in all of utah. Soar Utah is a private business who offers tows with a Pawnee tow plane. Tows have been usually available Friday-Sunday except during the Nephi OLC event.. Heber gives great access to the high Uinta mountain range or a local flight over the Wasatch ski resorts. Tows might be more available during the 2017 season but I have not heard yet for sure. Heber is also a golf, fishing, and mountain bike mecca! We have lots of hiking too.
