need newsgroup server

If anyone knows a public (or not-so-public) news server that lets me read
and post messages I can use, I would appreciate it.

I'm away from my normal Internet provider during the week, and while my
hotel's service provider is kind enough to provide an SMTP server for
outgoing mail, it is not kind enough to provide a news server. I've found a
news service (post.usenet.com) that allows me to post to groups, but does
not allow me to read them (!).

I tried using Google Groups, but don't like that much at all, and I can't
post messages without giving them my proper e-mail address (yeah, right!).
