The expense can be a surprise, My brother in law and I restored a
basket case Commonwealth and ended up with a $20,000 airplane for $31,000, and he is an A&P! My friend restored a J-3 Cub two years ago that needed extensive work, i.e.
spars, new longerons, new engine... He billed that guy something ridiculously low considering all the time he had in it, but same thing....the guy had a $25k airplane for $40k. d |
