There was an aviation safety magazine that I used to read as a student
pilot that reported on accidents and fatalities from the previous month. Investiation comments were included, and if there was any conclusion as to the cause of the accident or fatality, it would be printed as well. I'm sure there are a number of titles, but I can't remember any of them. I'd like to get my hands on one again. Can anyone help with some titles? Thanks, Doug Parker |

Thanks, Doug Parker Flying usually reviews a handful of accidents, but they are usually a couple of years old. www.ntsb.gov (the aviation side) is a great resource if you're looking to learn something from the mistakes of others. Every aviation accident in the US for the past 20+ years is chronicled. You can search by aircraft type, severity, etc. or you can simply read through each month's accidents on a one by one basis. |

Hello Kyle,
Flying usually reviews a handful of accidents, but they are usually a couple of years old. Yes, and I believe it is under the header "On the record". Then they often have one much more detailed story. Not based on NTSB records but directly from a pilot who got away from a really scary situation. I think it is called "I learned about flying from that". Regards, Joerg http://www.analogconsultants.com |
