1.A Mooney was taking off at Albury Woodonga, NSW -- the pilot had an
Irish setter on board. As the ship accelerated for take-off, the excited dog jumped from the back seat into the baggage compartment, hit the compartment door, which, unlocked, opened. The dog put his head out, automobile window style. The Tower noticed and asked "do you have a seatbelt on that dog" --- Pilot stopped take-off and sorted things out. -- 2. A pilot of a K3 in Waikerie often flew with his mutt on his lap. When thermalling with other sailplanes the pilot reported the dog barked and barked -- a warning devise?? |
