Robert-
Thank you for your well-wishes! We certainly hope to get a lot of local business, but also want those longer-distance pilots, who own their own planes, to be able to take advantage of our convenient hours and pricing when progressing through further training. It will also give them an excuse to fly more! For those who wish to train with Best in Flight (when flying in from another airport), we will deduct the $10 landing fee from the cost of the lesson, when the lesson lasts 2 hours or longer. There is also a $23 ramp fee when using the Signature ramp (where Best in Flight is located). However, this fee does not apply to pilots using the West Tiedown. In these cases, our instructors would be happy to meet any students at the West Tiedown, removing this additional cost. The Signature ramp fee is also waived when purchasing 7 gallons, or more, of fuel. Learning to fly should not be an inconvenience. We seek to make it as easy, and enjoyable as possible. It's unfortunate you chose MMU as a base of operations as it has to be one of the most expensive little airports to go to. With security fees, landing fees and the exhorbitant prices charged by the only FBO on the field it makes visiting that airport a costly adventure. I hope you get lots of students from the area, it would be nice to see more activity in that area. Robert |
