And it's free for registered users!
www.adventurepilot.com Users can search an enormous database of flying destinations. Everything from $100 hamburger locations, campsites, casinos, even things to see from the air! It has a mapping engine and a query engine to drive the whole thing, and can search around an airport OR along a route. It's very cool. And it's all wrapped up in a flight planner that turns a few clicks into a true plan for adventure. Would you like to fly somewhere within a certain number of miles, drop by an aviation museum, hit another airport for lunch, and then find a third airport to camp overnight? No problem. Would you just like to find a new $100 hamburger site within single-tank range of your plane? No problem! Destinations can be added or rated by other users so you can see other pilots opinions and comments before you consider flying somewhere. So if you notice something missing from the database, add it yourself and then see what other pilots think of it. Plus, there are stories about flying adventures if you enjoy reading, and registered users can upload their own stories to try their hand at authoring. Please take a look. |
