![]() Who's planning to attend? http://www.nbvc.navy.mil/airshow05/index.html The 2005 Point Mugu Air Show on October 22&23, featuring the world-famous Blue Angels, is anticipated to generate weekend crowds of more than 150,000 people. The public will be able to see aircraft such as the F-15C Eagle and the E-2C Hawkeye, both utilized during Operation Iraqi Freedom. The Air Show will feature military aircraft from the Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force including some of the leading civilian performers from throughout the country. There will also be simulators, current and vintage aircraft on static display, food and beverage booths and souvenirs for sale. wrote in et:: I went this Saturday. The weather was pretty harsh, but the show seemed to be progressing. They announced the Blue Angels would be on in 20 mins at 1:40 pm. After they were done selling concessions, they announced "Sorry, due to weather......." I had planned to attend, but the forecasts were not good. Perhaps next year'll be better. Was there anything on the ground interesting to see? I attended the open house at Vandenberg AFB last year, and got to tour the inside of an AWACS and KC135. Seeing the F-117 up close was also worth the trip. |
