FOR SALE
Delcom AIR960 Handheld Radios and Accessories These radios were recently taken out of service over the winter at my flying club, Sky Soaring (http://skysoaring.com). A few came from club members. We gathered up all the radios and accessories and are trying to find a good home for them. Pictures of all the items are available via email. johnatderosaweb.com Some of the radios (panel mounted units especially) were working when removed. The remainder of the radios and accessories are in various and unknown condition. Same thing with the accessories except for the new items (indicated below). Best offer takes all the items. No offer too small! Payment via check, money order or PayPal. Shipping extra. Approximately 50lbs total weight. Contents ======== - 15 each Delcom AIR960 - All controls top mounted. AIR 960 transmits at 1.5W and has COM channel 118.000-136.975 MHz and NAV channels 108.000-117.975 MHz. Full specifications are below. 11 of these radios come with a Ni-Cd battery packs. Four have panel mounts and battery eliminators (see below). - 6 each Delcom PM318 panel mounting brackets (2 new, 4 used) - these brackets allow the handheld Delcom to be mounted in a 3-1/8" instrument panel opening. Because all the controls are on the top of the handheld, this works well. The pictures show four of the radios mounted in their brackets. Requires a battery eliminator and a speaker/mic to function (included below). - 6 each Delcom SPK96 speakers (3 new, 2 new) - These speakers plug into the top of the Delcom to replace a speaker/mic. The speaker/mic then plugs into the top of speaker. There is also a switch to change between the use of the speaker or the speaker/mic for receive audio. - 2 each Delcom Ni-Cd battery packs. - 2 each Delcom battery eliminators. There are 4 more attached to radios (see above). - 6 each Delcom "rubber duckie" antennas. - 8 each Delcom full sized speaker/mics - 1 each Motorola full sized speaker/mic - 1 each Radio Shack full sized speaker/mics - 4 each Kendoo CMP115 miniature speaker/mics (3 new, 1 used) - 1 each Cobra miniature speaker/mic - 13 12Vdc battery charger "bricks" Also there are two Terra TPX720 handheld radios that are thrown in on the deal. Physical condition looks good but they are of unknown working condition. Ni-Cd batteries. The same battery charger above works. Please note that as far as I know there is no service available for these Delcom radios. Hey Jim,
I've got an old handheld. It may be a Terra? (It's not in front of me). It uses crystals, and has 2. One is 121.5, and the other is 122.7 or 122.8. I heard they were used in gliders. If you want to store it for me until I need it (not likely this century) let me know. "RST Engineering" wrote in message .. . Couldja maybe give us an educated wild ass guess as to what you think the package is worth (less shipping)? I keep a stock of things like this to loan out when stuff like Katrina hits the fan, no charge, just return it please. Sometimes it doesn't get returned. People are like that. I've got about ten handhelds, five panel mounts, and half a dozen 2 meter ham radios that have been in service for ten years now. I've gotten them from articles I've written and other folks who just wanted a good home for older radios. Just let me know what you think is fair. And you are correct, when a Delcom craps out, there is no service literature of any sort available. Jim "ContestID67" wrote in message oups.com... If it was used in gliders, it would have 123.3 and 123.5. I respectfully
pass on crystal controlled radios; they are generally not of much use. Jim "Steve Foley" wrote in message news:jCVOf.1683$zp2.773@trndny01... Hey Jim, I've got an old handheld. It may be a Terra?
