I am trying to locate a copy of Disney's 1967 TV classic, "The Boy Who
Flew With Condors". Best I can tell, the show has never been released on DVD or VHS, but I suspect someone somewhere has a copy, probably taped off the air. Please contact me if you have one, or know someone who does. I have already emailed the National Soaring Museum and the Museum of Radio and Television, but they haven't replied yet. Johan Larson |

it was shown at the SSA Convention in Ontario CA in 2005 (?)
check with SSA, I think there were going to be limited numbers of copies made and sold the other choice would be to check with the 1-26 Assoc. BT wrote in message oups.com... I saw a note some time back that when it was shown at SSA (I don't think it
was Ontario 2005), it was by special arrangement with Disney. I've looked for it online without success. I work for Disney, and some months ago I asked around but I could not find any evidence that it was ever available on VHS or DVD. I saw it when I was a kid and I'd love to see it again! You can find "Goofy's Glider" on video but it's not quite the same thing... ;-) "BTIZ" wrote in message news:Z71Wf.405$CL6.219@fed1read11... it was shown at the SSA Convention in Ontario CA in 2005 (?) check with SSA, I think there were going to be limited numbers of copies made and sold the other choice would be to check with the 1-26 Assoc. Surely they didn't show it just once... If it was ever broadcast in the eighties, when VCRs were commonplace, I might well be able to find a copy that someone taped off the air. Johan Larson |

Johan Larson I just looked on the Disney site. http://disneyvideos.disney.go.com/mo...20Condors.html There is a link to let them know interest in releasing the title. Ben Jeffrey It almost certainly won't do anything, but no harm in trying, I suppose. Johan Larson |

It was shown at the 2002 Convention in Ontario. This was when Sanderson
was still at the SSA, and I remember in his introduction he said that they had to spend some time working with Disney before they were able to show it. I saw it when I was a kid and I'd love to see it again! Under the heading of madcap schemes, we could try to produce our own DVDs, under properly legal licence from Disney. The thing is, Disney does not do things small. They are mass-market oriented, so we would have to agree to produce quite a large run before they would be interested. The question is, how large? 1000 units? 10,000? Johan Larson |
