I'm planning a flight to Racine (KRAC) and I'd like to transition along
the lake shore between Gary (GYY) and Racine. The only problematic
airspace is the Meigs Class D which is still depicted on the sectional and
terminal chart.

Get current charts.

Does one still have to establish comm in order to transition Meigs Class
D?

There is no Class D airspace at what used to be Meigs Field.

There is an RCO freq listed.

It's for Kankakee FSS.
